Devonte + Angelina // Parris Islands Gazebo and Lyceum // Beaufort, SC Wedding
Devonte and Angelina were married on the beautiful historic Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. They had their ceremony at the Gazebo on Parris Island and moved over to the Lyceum for their reception. The wedding day was filled with love and tears and really such a blast to be a part of!
Devonte played football for the University of Carolina and also for the Dallas Cowboys. There were a lot of familiar football faces in the crowd. My favorite part of the night was the entrance for the bridal party where the guests lined the entrance and swung their wedding favors, the rally rags in the air! They did this in honor of Devonte’s USC days with the music set to Sandstorm! If you are a Carolina fan you know exactly what I am talking about. I must say it was the best entrance I have ever seen into a wedding! So much fun. Scroll below for some more about their day!
Angie is an inspiring makeup artist and absolutely amazing if you ask me, so she did her own makeup for her wedding! This girl has every piece of makeup you could ever want, as a lipstick addict myself I was lost in her choices and got distracted at all the pretty makeup haha! She also had these precious little “I do” stickers for the bottom of her shoes!
Angie and her father are very close. The dad reveal was very special to her, she asked to have him meet her at the gorgeous Kate Gleason Park in Beaufort and it did not disappoint for the beautiful images. They spent some time together and he gave her a sweet hand written card. Angie had to touch up her makeup and off we were to read the letters!
This moment was very special to Devonte and Angie. When I spoke with her she wanted to make sure that they were able to do this! They each read letters holding hands without seeing each other. It was both precious and moving to watch them and feel the love they have for each other.
One of the most beautiful moments of the day! Angie and her bridesmaids and family gathered around praying for her. It always warms my heart to see a couple recognize why they are their and to give it all back to God before giving their commitment to each other.
And then it was wedding time!! I spent the rehearsal praying that God would give us some shade over the Gazebo because I really didn’t want Angie to have to squint the entire service due to the sun. Thankfully those prayers were answered and it was a perfect ceremony! The couple even paused to recognize their daughter by giving her a ring pop during the ceremony. It was a tribute to the first ring that Devonte gave Angie and it was such a sweet surprise for her and for their daughter.
The wedding was officiated by their pastor Shane Olsen of Decibel Church.
We had such a fun time following the ceremony taking bridal party shots! This group had me all smiles!
I mentioned this moment in the beginning of the post but here it is! The entrance to the reception with the rally rags! Isn’t it fantastic?!
I was able to sneak these cuties out for some extra shots!
The night was filled with so much fun and sweat from the dance floor! DJ Hans from Nice Entertainment kept the party flowing!
Before I realized it it was time to go home!! And they exited with Sparklers!!!
I just love the way she looks at him!!
What an amazing night, even going back over these photos and blogging them makes me smile! These two know how to put on a party!!
I love you guys!! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day!
Huge thank you to all the amazing vendors for this wedding!
